El Dorado Seaside Suites

Mexico · Riviera Maya · Adults-only · Swim-up suites

An all-suite, all-oceanfront adults-only resort on Kantenah Bay in the Riviera Maya, split between an intimate jungle-lush Palms section and a newer Infinity building where every suite has either swim-up or infinity pool balcony access.

El Dorado Seaside Suites is split into two distinct sections that attract different kinds of guests. The Palms side is the original — quieter, lush with coconut palms and tropical vegetation, and more intimate in scale. The Infinity section is newer, all-oceanfront, and built around a large main pool with swim-out suite access on the ground floor and infinity pool balconies on every floor above. If the pool is your priority, Infinity is where you want to be.

All suites have Jacuzzi tubs, furnished balconies or patios, and minibar access. The property’s Gourmet Inclusive® program is a cut above standard all-inclusive dining — multiple à la carte restaurants, a tequila bar with 16 house-made flavored varieties, and a swim-up bar in the main pool.

On the sustainability side, the El Dorado portfolio operates a 76,000-square-foot Rainforest Alliance Certified greenhouse on the grounds at sister property El Dorado Royale — the only one of its kind in a coastal area — which supplies produce to all of the brand’s restaurants, Seaside Suites included. Most of what lands on the plate is grown locally rather than trucked in. The broader Karisma resort family holds many other sustainability certifications, including a sea turtle conservation program in which Seaside Suites plays an outsized role — its beach is one of two in the El Dorado portfolio with the highest sea turtle nesting activity, and an on-property hatchery protects and releases hatchlings each nesting season (roughly May through November).

The Náay Spa is one of the largest in the Riviera Maya, with a hydrotherapy circuit, Mayan-inspired treatments, and a temazcal. Worth noting: the beach on the Seaside Suites side is smaller and more eroded than the Palms side next door — guests tend to migrate. The location, about an hour south of Cancún near Tulum, suits travelers who want resort immersion over day-tripping. We use USA Transfers for the hour-long drive down from CUN.
