Excellence El Carmen sits just north of its sister property Excellence Punta Cana on the same Uvero Alto stretch of Dominican coastline — a quieter, palm-shaded section of beach about 45 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport, well north of the busier Bávaro tourist corridor.
The water experience is the deepest of any property in the Excellence portfolio: 23 pools woven through the grounds, with swim-up suites opening directly onto channel-style pools, beachfront suites with private pools, and rooftop terrace suites with private plunge pools. Multiple category tiers give you the swim-up experience from different angles — pool-adjacent at the base level, contained-on-your-balcony at the top.
The all-inclusive program covers 12 restaurants and the Miilé Spa hydrotherapy circuit, with multiple swim-up bars and a long beachfront for daily-life amenities.
Excellence El Carmen is the larger of the two Excellence properties in Punta Cana — more variety in pools, dining, and suite categories at the cost of the more intimate feel of its older sister next door.
