Excellence Oyster Bay sits on its own private peninsula about 30 minutes from Montego Bay International Airport, with the Caribbean Sea on one side and the bioluminescent Glistening Waters Lagoon on the other. The peninsula geography is the property’s defining feature — water on three sides, no neighboring resorts, and a sense of containment that most beachfront properties in Jamaica can’t offer.

The water experience runs across multiple price points. Junior Suites with Private Pool put a plunge pool directly inside the room. The Excellence Club tier adds rooftop terraces and dedicated beachfront access. Five standalone Beach Villas sit on the property’s own white-sand beach, each with a private pool. Above that, the main pools and swim-up zones run through the resort’s central deck, with channel-style pools opening directly onto the swim-up Junior Suites.

The Glistening Waters Lagoon — one of the world’s few bioluminescent bays — is part of what makes the location distinctive. Night swims here register a visible blue-green glow from the dinoflagellates in the water; the resort runs lagoon excursions for guests who want to experience it. The phenomenon is real but conditions-dependent — clearest on darker, calmer nights.
