Hotel Xcaret Arte

Mexico · Riviera Maya · Adults-only · Swim-up suites

Adults-only sister to Hotel Xcaret Mexico on the Riviera Maya, with swim-up suites along a shared art-themed canal and "All-Fun Inclusive" access to the entire Xcaret park network.

Hotel Xcaret Arte built its rooms around water — swim-up suites that open onto navigable river-pools winding through the adults-only resort, so your room category really does change the whole stay.

The All-Fun Inclusive Angle

Hotel Xcaret Arte plays in a different lane than most adults-only resorts in the Riviera Maya. The rate isn’t just food and drinks — it includes unlimited access to the entire Xcaret park network (Xcaret, Xel-Há, Xplor, Xplor Fuego, Xenses, Xoximilco, Garrafón, Xavage), guided tours to Chichén Itzá, Tulum, and Cobá, and airport transfers from Cancún. If you were already planning to spend a few days at the parks, the math on a stay here changes meaningfully versus stacking park tickets on top of a standard all-inclusive.

Adults-Only, Art-Themed

Opened in 2021 as the 18+ counterpart to the family-friendly Hotel Xcaret Mexico next door. The property is organized into “casas” each themed around a Mexican craft — music, painting, dance, weaving — with the on-site programming (workshops, performances, culinary experiences) leaning into that art-and-artisan identity. It’s a more cultural pitch than most resorts in this category make.

The Swim-Up Reality

The swim-up suites here access a shared canal/river-style pool system threading through the property, not a private plunge pool off your terrace. That’s different from what you get at an Excellence Playa Mujeres or an El Dorado Seaside, where the swim-up is your own. More social, more scenic — but if you’re picturing the “private cocoon” version of swim-up, this isn’t it. Worth knowing before you book.

What to Know Before You Book

  • Transfer: about 50 minutes from Cancún International (CUN), included in the rate.
  • Parks are bundled, not nearby: most Xcaret parks require a shuttle, and a few are an hour-plus away (Xoximilco is up by Cancún, Garrafón is on Isla Mujeres). You’ll spend travel time to use what you’ve paid for. Plan park days, don’t expect to wander over.
  • It’s a large property: layouts are spread, and reviews mention walking distances between casas, restaurants, and the beach. Not a barefoot-shuffle-from-your-room kind of resort.
  • Beach is modest: the Riviera Maya coastline here is rockier than Cancún or Playa Mujeres. Swimming is fine, but if pristine swimmable beach is the top criterion, this isn’t where it shines.

Best For

Couples who want adults-only quiet plus a genuinely different cultural and experiential offering — and who plan to actually use the included park access. Less ideal for travelers who want a private-plunge swim-up cocoon, a beach-first stay, or a small intimate property.
