Hotel Xcaret México
Riviera Maya resort with a water-forward room category I haven't seen elsewhere: the Suite River Jump, where your private terrace ends at a ledge over a jungle river you swim into. Casa Fuego is the adults-only section to book.
At Hotel Xcaret México, your room category shapes the whole stay — the signature Suite River Jump opens your terrace onto a jungle river you can jump straight into, and the adults-only Casa Fuego section is the one to book.
Hotel Xcaret México sits on the Riviera Maya, about 90 minutes south of Cancún. The property is family-friendly, but its adults-only Casa Fuego section has its own ocean and river-facing rooms — and a handful of the Suite River Jump suites fall within it. Book Casa Fuego to get the experience without children in the next room. I haven’t stayed here personally; the inclusion is an editorial call based on the room category.
The Suite River Jump is a room category where your private terrace ends at a ledge over one of the resort’s jungle river channels. You step off your terrace directly into the water and swim. When you’re ready to return, a ladder built into the platform brings you back to your own balcony. Life jackets are provided and a lifeguard is on duty. No other resort I’ve come across offers anything quite like it.
A few facts before you book: the exact room name on Hotels.com is Suite (River Jump), river view, around 640 sq ft. River Jump suites are on the lowest floor — necessary for water access, which means less of a panoramic view. Suite assignments happen at check-in; book the Suite (River Jump) category by name to lock it in. The stay includes all-parks access — Xel-Há, Xplor, Xenotes, and the other Xcaret parks are included, not a side perk.
If a fully adults-only property matters more than the jump-in feature, Hotel Xcaret Arte next door is the Jet & Swim pick — its River Swim Up suites give direct terrace access to the same jungle river system.
