Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun

Mexico · Riviera Maya · Adults-only · Swim-up suites

Adults-only all-inclusive on Maroma Beach — repeatedly ranked among the world's best — with swim-out junior suites on 12 lagoon-style pools and World of Hyatt points eligibility.

The beach is the case

Maroma Beach is the headline. Punta Maroma has been ranked among the world’s best beaches by the Travel Channel on multiple occasions and was named the most beautiful beach in Mexico at the 2023 Tianguis Turístico. The sand is coral-derived from the offshore Mesoamerican Reef — fine, powdery, and notably cool underfoot in midday sun because the coral particles reflect heat rather than absorb it. Most Riviera Maya beaches are good; this one is genuinely best-in-class. If you don’t care about beach quality, there are easier-to-reach, lower-cost properties up and down the coast. If you do, this is the case for being here.

Suites and pools

412 suites and twelve pools, two of them large enough to anchor a day — a livelier main pool with a swim-up bar and a quieter relaxation pool tucked among the landscaping. The category that matters for this directory is the Junior Suite Swim Out: ground-floor rooms with direct swim-out access from a private terrace into one of the lagoon-style pools winding through the property. The swim-up architecture uses cut-stone archways built into the exterior of the buildings — a distinctly different look from the glass-railing swim-up balconies that dominate the rest of the Riviera Maya all-inclusive scene.

For couples who don’t need swim-out, the Junior Suite Ocean View and Preferred Club Honeymoon Suite categories add private soaking tubs on the terrace, four-poster beds, and (in Preferred Club) lounge access and concierge service.

Dining, plus Sip, Savor & See

Nine dining venues — six à la carte restaurants (French, Mexican, Italian, Pan-Asian, Mediterranean, seafood), an international buffet, a beach grill, and a café — plus six bars. Most à la carte spots take walk-ins rather than requiring reservations, which makes dining more flexible than at some larger AIs where you’re locked into a reservation grid by day three.

The Sip, Savor & See program lets guests cross over for dinner and evening entertainment at sister Hyatt Inclusive Collection properties — Dreams Jade, Dreams Sapphire, Dreams Natura, Secrets Moxche, and Secrets Akumal. Reservations and resort shuttles required; this is not free-run access, but it meaningfully extends the dining variety on a week-long stay.

World of Hyatt earn-and-burn

Secrets Maroma is part of the Hyatt Inclusive Collection, which means World of Hyatt points apply to all-inclusive stays — earn on cash bookings, redeem at Category E (35,000–45,000 points per night). That’s the loyalty angle worth knowing: most adults-only Caribbean AIs are brand-agnostic and don’t earn points. If you accumulate Hyatt points through credit-card spend or business travel, this is one of the few places where they’re spendable on a real water-forward vacation.

Getting there

About 40–45 minutes south of Cancún International (CUN), between the city and Playa del Carmen — far enough from the airport-strip density to feel separate, close enough to keep the transfer simple. We use USA Transfers for the airport run on Riviera Maya trips.

Best for

Couples who care about beach quality first and accommodation second. Travelers who already hold World of Hyatt status or points and want to redeem them somewhere genuinely swim-forward. Stays in the seven-to-ten-night range, where the property’s size and the Sip, Savor & See exchange access actually pay off.

Less ideal if you want a small-scale boutique property, or if you’re indifferent to beach quality and would prefer a higher-pool, lower-cost property inland.
