Secrets Moxché Playa del Carmen

Mexico · Playa del Carmen · Adults-only · Swim-up suites

An adults-only Riviera Maya resort opened in 2022, built around an unusual water concept — seven outdoor pools plus three cenote-style indoor pools, with rooftop infinity-pool access on the Preferred Club tier.

Secrets Moxché is one of the newer adults-only properties on the Riviera Maya, opening in 2022 as part of Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection after the AMResorts acquisition. The property is built around an unusual water concept: in addition to seven outdoor pools, the resort features three man-made cenote pools — interior, jungle-style pools designed to evoke the natural limestone sinkholes the Yucatán is known for. Whether that translates as immersive or theatrical depends on the guest, but it’s a clear point of differentiation from the standard rectangular-pool template.

The 485 suites are spread across multiple categories, with Preferred Club tiers unlocking access to a rooftop infinity pool, a dedicated rooftop restaurant, and an exclusive lounge. Standard suites include in-room rolling bars and terrace soaking tubs in many categories; Preferred Club Swim-Out options offer direct pool access. Dining is extensive at over a dozen restaurants and bars, including a hidden speakeasy-style dance club and an amphitheater for evening entertainment.

A note for travelers comparing properties: there’s an adjacent sister resort, Impression Moxché by Secrets, which is the higher-tier 198-suite property with butler service and free-flow access in both directions. They share grounds but operate as distinct experiences. Secrets Moxché is the larger, more activity-driven of the two; Impression Moxché is the smaller, quieter, more premium option.
