Worth the Flight

I Slept at Miami Airport and I'd Do It Again

If you’ve ever faced a brutal layover or an early-morning departure out of Miami International, you already know the airport couch struggle. Wait ‘n Rest is the answer you didn’t know existed — and it’s become one of my go-to MIA tips.

We booked two hours for two people and genuinely slept. Not “airport nap” slept — actually rested and woke up feeling human. The pods are private, clean, and dark enough to trick your body into thinking it’s bedtime no matter what’s happening outside. Each pod sleeps two — a murphy-style bed folds down to accommodate, and staff will handle the setup for you.

A heads-up before you book: The pods are not soundproofed — light sleepers may hear other guests coming and going. Earplugs are worth packing just in case.

Pricing

  • Solo traveler: $40/hour
  • Two people: $55/hour

For two people splitting the cost, that’s under $30 each for two hours — a no-brainer compared to burning energy dragging yourself through the terminal.

Highly recommended. Book it before your next early flight or long connection through MIA. Future you will be grateful.
